Screening examinations for men |
- 1. Laboratory tests
Patients will be informed about a complete range of lipid metabolism, cardiovascular risk factors, blood sugar values, renal and hepatic function.
- 2. Examination of internal medicine.
An internist’s examination, patients are sent to cardiology if necessary
- 3. ECG
An ECG-scan serves to measure the functioning of the heart. The ECG-graph is always evaluated by the internist.
- 4. An overall ultrasound scan of the abdomen and the pelvis
During the examination the following organs may be scanned and depicted: liver, gall bladder, kidneys, pancreas and spleen, urinary bladder, prostate.
- 5. Urologic examination
Palpation
Oncologic screening of the prostate
- 6. Ophthalmological examination
Fundus examination, eye pressure measurement, vision test, prescribing of glasses.
