• 1. Laboratory examinations (detailed blood tests, liver enzymes, blood in faeces test, Helicobacter test, urine tests)
• 2. An ultrasound scan of the abdomen and the pelvis
• 3. Rectal examination
• 4. Recording a detailed case history calculating risk, internal and gastro-enterological examination
• 5. Gastroscopy and colonoscopy if needed.
